Adult Site Blocker does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information or browsing data. Everything the extension does happens locally, inside your own browser.

What data we collect

None. The extension does not collect or transmit any data of any kind. There are no servers, no analytics, no tracking, and no user accounts.

How the extension works

Adult Site Blocker uses Chrome's official declarativeNetRequest API together with a built-in list of known adult-content domains. When you navigate to a site on that list, the browser itself redirects the tab to a local block page that ships inside the extension. The extension does not observe, read, log, or send the URLs you visit or the contents of any web page.

Local storage

The extension keeps a small amount of state in Chrome's local storage API: whether protection is on, the randomly generated paragraph used by the unlock challenge, and simple counters of how many visits were blocked. None of it identifies you, none of it records which sites you visited, and none of it ever leaves your device.

Permissions and why they are used

• declarativeNetRequest: to block adult sites using local, predefined rules.
• host access (<all_urls>): required only so the browser can redirect a blocked page to the extension's local block page. The extension does not read, collect, or transmit page content or browsing history.
• storage: to keep the protection state, the unlock challenge text, and the blocked-visit counters, stored locally only.
• alarms: to run a once-a-minute local self-check that turns the blocking rules back on if they were switched off while the extension is locked. It makes no network requests.

Remote code

The extension contains no remote code. All logic and data ship inside the published package.

Children's privacy

The extension collects no data from anyone, including children.
